„Meine Oma bat mir immer Mon Chéri an wenn ich sie besuchte. Ich lehnte die mit Likör
gefüllte Praline des italienischen Herstellers Ferrero dankend ab und bediente mich am
Rocher denn ich mochte kein Mon Chéri und ich mag es auch heute nicht. Meine Oma aber
liebte Mon Chéri, so sehr, dass sich das glänzende Verpackungspapier auf dem Esstisch in
unkontrollierten Mengen anhäufte.“ (Robert Czolkoß)

Die gemeinsame Arbeit und Installation Mon Chéri untersucht, wie unsere lückenhaften
Erinnerungen die Imagination prägen und wie bestimmte Objekte und Materialien diese
inneren Bilder sichtbar machen. Und dabei denken wir primär an unsere Großmütter und
Großväter und die Orte, die wir mit unseren Großeltern in Verbindung setzen.

“My grandma always offered me Mon Chéri when I visited her. I politely declined the liqueur-filled chocolate from the Italian manufacturer Ferrero and helped myself to a Rocher instead, because I didn’t like Mon Chéri then, and I still don’t like it today. My grandmother, however, loved Mon Chéri—so much so that the shiny wrappers piled up on the dining table in uncontrolled quantities.” (Robert Czolkoß)

The collaborative work and installation *Mon Chéri* explores how our fragmented
memories shape our imagination and how certain objects and materials make these
inner images visible. In doing so, we think primarily of our grandmothers and
grandfathers and the places we associate with our grandparents.
